For the third straight Premier League home game, Manchester City struggled to break through opponents set up defensively at the Etihad and drew 1-1. What's more, after labouring to create chances, the hosts weren't able to put them away. Middlesbrough improved late but, still, this was two points dropped and Pep Guardiola's side needs to start finishing off their opposition.
Positives
In previous matches against Everton and Southampton, the visiting team was able to keep City at arm's length. While not a great improvement, on Saturday the hosts created more chances. Jesus Navas showed why he could be useful for Guardiola and Pablo Zabaleta is looking better than he has done for a while.
