Adam Clayton never made the grade at Manchester City under Mark Hughes, but the pair have been reunited at Bradford City as they bid to escape the fourth tier.
Clayton came through the youth ranks and into City's first-team squad at a time when the club was being transformed by the wealth of their Abu Dhabi-based ownership.
Fast forward well over a decade since leaving his boyhood club and the midfield schemer is back with Hughes in the rather less salubrious surroundings of League Two.
When Clayton fell out of favour at Doncaster in January, Hughes signed the 34-year-old Mancunian with the lure of a promotion push.
