Manchester City suffered a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea in Saturday’s Champions League clash and Riyad Mahrez was one of many players who underperformed, scoring a 4/10 from the Manchester Evening News.
The 30-year-old was stifled by Ben Chilwell and was unable to influence the game in the final third, so he could consider himself fortunate that Pep Guardiola didn’t haul him off.
Against Chelsea, Mahrez played for 90 minutes, had 48 touches, won one aerial duel, completed 71.9% of his 32 passes, whipped in four crosses without finding a teammate, created one chance, had one shot which failed to hit the target, failed to make a dribble, was fouled three times, failed to make a tackle, committed one foul and failed to make an interception.
