For the second straight year, Arkansas State has auctioned the chance for a fan to be an honorary coach in the spring game.

And honestly, I'm surprised more college programs haven't followed suit.

Angie Gallaher, whose Imboden, Ark., realty company sponsors Arkansas State coach Blake Anderson's TV show, paid $8,700 for her and a friend to line up on opposite sidelines in Friday's 6 p.m. spring game in Jonesboro.

A year ago, a 25-year California tech executive named Nick Bhardwaj bought ASU spring coaching game slots for $11,700.

So what does Gallaher's winning bid buy?
