'You call that a mustache?' It works for LSU's Jared Poche

Jared Poche will go into his start Saturday against Wichita State with two streaks on the line.

The more obvious streak is the 22 innings to start the season without allowing a run.

That streak began with a seven-inning no-hitter in his first start against Army and continued with another no-hit bid that went into the ninth against Maryland.

Last week against Baylor he pitched seven shutout innings, which made him the only NCAA Division I pitcher nationally to throw as many innings as him without allowing a run -- earned or unearned.

Then there's the other streak.
