After a rough start to begin the women’s basketball season, LSU (2-4) looks to get back on track Thursday evening inside the PMAC against Auburn (5-3) in the SEC opener.
When we last saw the Lady Tigers, they were wrapping up their second out of conference event in Las Vegas. LSU split the two games, losing to Pacific University on December 19 and beating Loyola Marymount on December 20.
Senior guard Khayla Pointer set a milestone and also played the hero against Loyola. She became the 34th player in program history to score 1,000 career points, crossing the threshold midway through the third quarter.
