White Earns SEC Weekly Honor

BATON ROUGE, La. – LSU senior Tre'Davious White was named the SEC Co-Special Teams Player of the Week the league announced Monday morning after helping the Tigers to a 34-13 win over the Jacksonville State Gamecocks in Tiger Stadium last Saturday night.

The weekly award is the first for the Shreveport, Louisiana, native in his LSU career, as he shares honors this week with Auburn placekicker Daniel Carlson.

With the Tigers sporting a 20-10 lead, the Tiger defense forced JSU to punt from its own 14-yard line late in the second quarter, where after eventually retreating LSU’s 19-yard line, raced 60 yards the other way for the score to give the Tigers a 27-10 with 20 seconds to go in the first half.
