After one of the most disappointing three-game stretches in the LSU football program’s storied history, the Tigers redeemed themselves with a strong finish to the 2015 season.
The final Associated Press Top 25 poll of the college football season was unveiled on Tuesday, with LSU claiming the No. 16 spot.
The Bayou Bengals entered their Week 10 showdown with the Alabama Crimson Tide as the No. 4 team in the country. Following three consecutive double-digit losses to Alabama, Arkansas and Ole Miss, however, LSU fell out of the AP Top 25.
The Tigers managed to climb back into the polls with a convincing 19-7 victory over Texas A&M in the regular season finale, and continued to ascend after defeating Texas Tech 56-27 in the Texas Bowl.
