Michael Papierski said Eric Walker looked good from the start. Not the start of the game, but during his warmup pitches in the LSU bullpen down the first-base line.
"He said he felt really good," the LSU catcher said of Walker, a freshman right-hander who took a no-hitter into the eighth inning of a 9-1 win Saturday at Alex Box Stadium.
Walker at one point retired 18 consecutive Auburn hitters and allowed only three walks before No. 9 hitter Sam Gillikin hit a solo home run into the wind that landed in the front row of seats in left field.
