LSU coach Ed Orgeron has hired another consultant to help coach an assistant coach.
After hiring former Saints special teams coach Greg McMahon in February as the Tigers' special team coach, Orgeron quietly hired veteran NFL and college receivers coach Jerry Sullivan Tuesday as a consultant primarily for LSU first-year receivers coach Mickey Joseph.
LSU made no formal announcement of the hiring of Sullivan, 73, who has 45 years coaching experience including a previous stint at LSU from 1994 to 1990 under Bill Arnsparger and Mike Archer. The hiring was confirmed by LSU spokesman Michael Bonnette.
