Baton Rouge, La. – Twenty Six LSU Track and Field athletes were honored by the conference for their performances at the SEC Championships. Eleven of those athletes (6 women, 5 men) were named First Team All-SEC for winning the championship in their respective events.
The Tigers put together some of the most impressive performances in school history on their way to second and third place finishes for the women's and men's teams, respectively. The best individual performance of the entire weekend came from world class sprinter Terrance Laird. Laird was awarded the Commissioner's Trophy which goes the athlete who scores the most points at the SEC Championships.
