Tulane entered this game one victory away from the program’s 700th win all-time. Early on, it looked as if the Lady Tigers would defend their home court and deny the Green Wave a victory for the third consecutive season. LSU controlled most of the first half and took a two point lead into the break. However, a third quarter in which the Tigers only put up seven points allowed Tulane to grab the lead with 17:02 remaining in the game. Tulane wouldn't surrender that lead for the remainder of the game. The Green Wave went on to win 56-54.
