BATON ROUGE – Tasmin Mitchell, a member of LSU’s 2006 NCAA Final Four Team, and who will represent LSU this year as its SEC Legend at the conference basketball tourney will be the guest of Coach Johnny Jones Monday (Feb. 6) at the first of two February editions of the Tipoff Luncheon.
The luncheon is held at the L’Auberge Hotel and Casino Baton Rouge. The monthly gatherings for good food and basketball conversations are open to the public and presented by Hub International.
Mitchell, who played at LSU from 2005-10, finished his career third on the all-time LSU scoring list behind Pete Maravich and Rudy Macklin at just under 2,000 points, and he is one of two three players at LSU to score 1,000 points, have 500 or more rebounds (6th all-time), pass 200 assists and get 100 steals.
