Tigers Take Series Against Omaha

Sorry for the delayed recap, y’all. The wife and I were out and about at the Orion parade last night. While we were doing that, the LSU baseball team (6-1) finally flexed its muscles against a pesky Omaha team (2-5) 12-1 to split the Saturday doubleheader and win the series.

Jared Jones had his best game of the young 2025 season with 5 RBI, while Chase Shores improved to 2-0 thanks to a five inning outing in which he allowed three hits, a pair of walks, and struck out six.

“Chase is excellent, he’s one of the best pitchers in the country,” Jay Johnson said.
