LSU (6-1, 1-0) opened up SEC play in dominant fashion, beating the Texas A&M Aggies (5-2, 0-1) 77-54 Tuesday night in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
Star freshman guard Cam Thomas continued to stake his claim as one of the best scorers in all of America, scoring a career-best 32 points. Thomas hit 12 shots and five three pointers, both of which were also career highs.
A&M got the first points of the game and had a 12-9 lead with 13:00 to play in the first half. LSU couldn’t get the three ball to fall early on, missing its first six shots from distance.
