Now that the calendar has flipped to January, conference play is here and it’s time for the defending champion Tigers (14-1, 1-0) to ratchet up the intensity.
#7 LSU got SEC play started off with a bang, beating Missouri 92-72 Thursday night inside the PMAC.
Four Tigers scored double-digit points, and of those four three scored at least 20. Aneesah Morrow led the way with 25 points and 10 rebounds, Flau’jae Johnson was right behind her with 24 points, and Angel Reese had 21 points and 13 rebounds.
Missouri and LSU were in a close battle through a quarter, with LSU clinging to a 20-19 lead.
