Tigers in the Super Bowl

Sunday will mark the 17th consecutive Super Bowl featuring a former LSU football player on one of the participating teams, with former Tigers Donnie Jones and Jalen Mills suiting up for the Eagles, and Ricky Jean Francois for the Patriots.

The winners will join a pretty cool select group — Tigers that have won both a national championship AND a Super Bowl:

Marlon Favorite 2007 - 2010 New Orleans Saints (Practice squad)
Matt Flynn 2007 - 2011 Green Bay Packers

Let’s compare the three players’ careers:

Jones, a Baton Rouge native, may be most well-known for closing out the final seconds of the 2004 Sugar Bowl with Oklahoma on a 40-yard punt.
