BATON ROUGE – One of the most important home non-conference games in over a decade will be played Friday night in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center when undefeated and nationally-ranked Furman comes calling for a 7 p.m. CT tipoff.
The Paladins are 12-0 and ranked No. 24 in the AP media poll and No. 25 in the USA Today coaches’ poll. Furman also comes into town having won its last eight true road contests. They were the first team in the country to reach 12 wins and is one of only nine unbeaten teams remaining in NCAA Division I.
