A record 9,074 people came out to the SJB Pavilion to see the Ole Miss Rebels (11-4, 1-1) host the defending national champion LSU Tigers (15-1, 2-0).
They went home disappointed.
LSU beat Ole Miss 84-73 Sunday afternoon to push their winning streak to 15 games and improve to 2-0 in conference play. The winning streak is now the longest active streak in D1.
Of LSU’s 84 points, 83 came from the starters and the Tigers were led by Angel Reese’s 21 points and freshman phenom Mikaylah Williams’ 20.
“I don’t view her as a freshman,” Mulkey said of Williams.
