BATON ROUGE, La. — The LSU baseball team's bats came alive Tuesday night against the McNeese Cowboys, collecting 12 hits for a 14-1 victory inside Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.
Garrett Edwards (1-2) picked up his first win of the season, pitching two solid innings of work. He gave up no runs on two hits and struck three batters out in his short stint on the bump. A bevy of arms followed in Edwards' footsteps finishing out the game, giving up one run on three hits.
The Cowboys' starter Christian Vega took the loss, pitching three innings and giving up one run on one hit.
