There isn't a bigger touchstone for LSU football than venerable Tiger Stadium.
From the people who sit in its seats, to the coaches who stalk the sidelines and the players who churn up the turf, the 92-year-old arena leaves a lasting impression.
Players have no problem saying they block out the noise, the atmosphere, even the physical vibrations that register as earthquakes while they are playing. But they feel the vibe even years later.
"I used to tell recruits 'You want to play in the Super Bowl every week? Go to LSU'," former LSU All-America running back Charles Alexander said during a recent roundtable discussion with other former LSU backs Jerry Stovall, Dalton Hilliard and Kevin Faulk.
