On January 7th, 2008, the LSU Tigers rode a tremendous all-around performance to defeat the Ohio State Buckeyes and claim their second BCS National Championship; a feat that had never been accomplished before in college football.
The game took place at the Louisiana Superdome in front of an LSU-heavy crowd, where four years earlier the Tigers had defeated the Oklahoma Sooners to claim their first BCS National Championship — and their first national title since 1958.
