do you think this is going to be more of a rebuilding year for LSU, or do you legitimately expect the tigers to compete this season?
— Jared C. (@jayctigerfan) August 3, 2017Ron H: A new offensive coordinator and a lot of fresh faces at linebacker and in the secondary, as well as finding depth at wide receiver and on the offensive line, leads you to believe this is a rebuilding year. More evidence of that is having to play five SEC road games. That said, if running back Derrius Guice stays healthy, if quarterback Danny Etling's surgically-repaired back remains pain free and if defensive end Arden Key comes back with a vengeance from shoulder surgery, LSU can be in the thick of the league race.
