Each Thursday throughout the college football season, NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune will take a look back at past LSU football games for "ThrowBack Thursday" or #TBT as it's known on social media.
After dropping the last two games against Alabama and Arkansas, the No. 17-ranked LSU Tigers (7-2) are on the road Saturday against the No. 25-ranked Ole Miss Rebels (7-3) at 2:30 p.m. on CBS at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
In this week's "ThrowBack Thursday," we'll go back to the 2003 game between the Tigers and Rebels in Oxford in front of a crowd of 62,552, which gave LSU the tie-breaking SEC West edge over Ole Miss and sent the Tigers on to the SEC championship and national title.
