Given his uneven 2017 season, LSU edge rusher Arden Key has something to prove at the NFL Scouting Combine. Tigers cornerback Donte Jackson says he does, too: He wants to show he’s the fastest player in the draft.
Jackson was a two-time Louisiana state champion in the 100- and 200-meter dashes in high school, and he ran sprints and relays for LSU’s nationally ranked track teams. He told NFL Network that he wants to break the combine record for the 40-yard dash.
Washington wide receiver John Ross ran a 4.22 40 in last year’s combine, and Jackson thinks he can do better.
