South Lafourche High School plans to retire the jersey number of Ed Orgeron during a ceremony at the Larose Civic Center on Feb. 17 at 6 p.m., according to our partners at WDSU Fox 8.
During the event, the Tarpons also plan to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 1977 championship football team, which Orgeron was part of. Former New Orleans Saints quarterback Bobby Hebert was also on the team, which was the last football championship South Lafourche won.
The banquet will be hosted by a group of businessmen and former South Lafourche football players who plan to honor Coach O.
