LEXINGTON, Ky. – No. 15 LSU (27-15, 9-8 SEC) erupted for 10 runs to even the series with No. 14 Kentucky (32-11, 7-10 SEC) in game one, a 10-7 win, Sunday doubleheader at John Cropp Stadium.
Shelby Sunseri (7-5) earned the win for the Tigers in seven innings of work. Sunseri gave up seven runs, five earned, on seven hits. Kentucky starter Tatum Spangler (3-3) was charged the loss. She gave up three runs in the first inning.
The Tigers and Wildcats will meet in the rubber match Sunday afternoon. The game will be streamed live on SEC Network+.
