FULLERTON, Calif. – The No. 4 LSU Softball team downed California, 5-1, on Friday morning at Anderson Family Field. The Tigers are now 15-2 on the year, while Cal drops to 9-8.
The Tigers started of the game with some hot offense as they had four hits in the first inning, including three extra base hits. Aliyah Andrews led off the inning with an infield single. Ciara Briggs walked and the two came in on a Taylor Pleasants triple to right center. Shelbi Sunseri had an RBI triple that hit the top of the right field fence and came back in.
