Les Miles hasn’t come out and announced that Danny Etling will be LSU’s starting quarterback Saturday against visiting Mississippi State, but he’s hinted at it all week.
"I can't imagine that Danny Etling won't take the first snaps,” the Tigers coach said during Wednesday’s SEC teleconference.
Etling, the former Purdue transfer, replaced Brandon Harris during last week’s 34-13 win against Jacksonville State. He went 6-of-14 for 100 yards with one touchdown and one interception and offered a much-needed change on offense. Four of his first six drives resulted in an LSU touchdown.
