If there was any doubt of whether or not the LSU basketball team would drop out of the Top 25 this week, it was erased on Monday during a disappointing loss to the College of Charleston Cougars.
After being swept by the Marquette Golden Eagles and North Carolina State Wolfpack last week at the Legends Classic in Brooklyn, the Tigers were defeated by the Cougars 70-58.
LSU took an early lead, hitting three of its first four shots. But the Tigers would miss their next nine field goal attempts, a sign of things to come. They would not lead past the 15:39 mark in the first half, in a game that did little to alleviate concerns from a dismal showing last week.
