BATON ROUGE, La. -- Darrel Williams has been the student at LSU. He has also been the teacher. What Williams has not been thus far is a major contributor.
Entering his senior season at LSU, Williams will soon have his best chance yet to do that -- even if Derrius Guice has already replaced Leonard Fournette as LSU's bell-cow back.
"I thought my sophomore year, [Fournette and I] were going to have a good year together that year, but things didn't work out as planned," Williams said of a 2015 season where he rushed for just 296 yards while Fournette set an LSU record with 1,953.
