Skip Bayless has decided to leave ESPN, the network announced Tuesday.
The commentator will make his final ESPN appearance on First Take the day after the NBA Finals conclude, as his contract is set to expire in August, the network said in a statement.
"We want to thank Skip for his many contributions to ESPN," the statement said. "His hard work and talent have benefited ESPN for 12 years."
Bayless might not be out of work for long, as Deadspin.com reported that Bayless is expected to join Fox Sports.
