We forged ahead, though. Here are the three best LSU recruiting classes of the 2000s.
3. 2009
The skinny: As far as recruiting rankings go, this was the best of the 12 classes Les Miles signed. They delivered on the field too. Barkevious Mingo and Sam Montgomery became an All-America tandem at defensive end.
