Shoulder surgery a success for LSU LB Donnie Alexander

Shoulder surgery isn’t usually described as “beautiful,” but it’s a whole lot better than the alternative — and it’s good news for LSU.

Senior linebacker Donnie Alexander had successful surgery on his shoulder, The Advocate of Baton Rouge reported. Norman Randall, Alexander’s high school coach at New Orleans Edna Karr, told the newspaper that Alexander’s surgery “went beautifully.”

The surgery repaired a torn labrum, which Alexander originally injured in high school and aggravated last season. He is out for the Tigers’ spring game, but should be back to full strength for the 2017 season.
