Former LSU and NBA great Shaquille O'Neal, who was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame last week, held his annual charity golf tournament on Friday with LSU basketball coach Johnny Jones at Carter Plantation in Springfield with all the proceeds going to the Louisiana flood victims. O'Neal, who is never shy about expressing his opinions, sat down with NOLA.com's reporter John Reid to discuss his efforts to help flood victims, his induction to the Naismith Hall of Fame, his son, Shareef, a top 100 basketball recruiting prospect in the 2018 recruiting class and San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and his refusal to stand for the national anthem.
