Former LSU sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson’s first Olympic Games proved to be a successful one and she’s heading back home to the United States with two medals.
Richardson won the silver in the 100 meter dash and helped the U.S. win gold in the 4x100 meter relay.
Richardson was the anchor for the United States in the relay and saved the day. When Richardson got the baton, team USA was in fourth place and 50 meters later she overtook runners from both Great Britain and Germany to move into first. The United States finished with a time of 41.
