Day two of the NFL draft was a lot like day one, with the SEC lording over all.
The league had the most players selected in Thursday’s first round with 12, then had 18 more selected Friday in the second and third rounds. The 12 taken in the first round tied a draft record, and the SEC set draft records with 21 picks through two rounds and 30 picks through three.
The SEC’s 30 picks through three rounds is 11 more than any other league. The Big Ten is second with 19, followed by the Pac-12 with 16, the ACC with 11, the AAC and Conference USA with six each, the Big 12, Mid-American and FCS ranks with five each, the Sun Belt with two and independents and Division II with one each.
