Before he was the king of college football in Tuscaloosa, AL, Saban resurrected the LSU football program from 1990s mediocrity.
Saban roamed the sidelines in Baton Rouge from 2000-2004, winning two Southeastern Conference titles (2001 & 2003), while leading the Tigers to the BCS National Championship in the 2003 season. He compiled a 48-16 (28-12 SEC) record at LSU before leaving for the Miami Dolphins’ head coaching job.
In 2007, Saban has led Alabama to four national championships as the head football coach, including a 2011 title game victory over LSU.
WAFB’s Jacques Doucet asked Saban to share his thoughts about the current police situation in Baton Rouge Wednesday at SEC Media Days in Hoover.
