BATON ROUGE, La. – Former LSU catcher Jordan Romero earned a degree in civil engineering during commencement ceremonies held Friday in Tiger Stadium.
The civil engineering degree is the second bachelor's degree for Romero, a product of Catholic High School in Baton Rouge. He received a degree in August 2017 in interdisciplinary studies with minors in business administration, geology, and geographic information systems.
Romero played two seasons at LSU-Eunice before transferring to LSU prior to the 2016 season. In 88 games as a catcher/DH (57 starts) during his two-season LSU career (2016-17), he batted .270 (65-for-241) with 12 doubles, 10 homers, 53 RBI and 35 runs.
