Report: JUCO coach Leon Wright returning to LSU as analyst

Ed Orgeron isn’t quite finished with his LSU staff yet. Now, he’s adding a defensive analyst to his staff who’s returning to Baton Rouge from the junior college ranks.

Wright had been working as the wide receivers coach at Garden City (Kan.) Community College. That school has produced several top prospects of note, including current Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill and UCF cornerback Mike Hughes, projected as an early selection in April’s NFL Draft.

Wright twice worked as a graduate assistant for the Tigers, from June 2013 to February 2015 and then again from February 2016 to July 2017.
