Ghostwriters are everywhere. A famous author gets the glory and their name in print, but often much of the heavy lifting is done by someone the reader never knows.
LSU football just lost its recruiting equivalent of a ghostwriter with director of player personnel Austin Thomas leaving for USC. FootballScoop.com — a coach-centric website that first reported the news — says Thomas has been hired as assistant athletic director over personnel, recruiting and NFL research.
If Les Miles, Frank Wilson and Ed Orgeron are the headliners, Thomas has been the anonymous foot soldier toiling behind the scenes.
