’s regular season is over and the matchups for the 2016-17 bowl season are set. The bowl slate features 40 matchups and the national championship game to be played on Jan. 9 in Tampa, Fla. The postseason action starts on Dec. 17 with five matchups, including the New Mexico Bowl, Las Vegas Bowl and New Orleans Bowl. Additionally, there are eight bowl contests before Christmas, with several big games slated for Dec., 29, Dec. 30, Dec. 31, Jan. 1 and Jan. 2. The third College Football Playoff begins in Atlanta with the Peach Bowl between Washington and Alabama on Dec.
