Pig Cage Transferring to LSU

LSU’s continued attempts at bolstering its secondary took another step Friday as Nicholls State corner Quinton “Pig” Cage tweeted he would be transferring to LSU this season.

Cage will be joining LSU as a preferred walk-on, meaning he will not be on scholarship. LSU’s final scholarship was awarded to former Georgia defensive back Major Burns, who announced on Tuesday he too would be transferring to LSU. Cage could potentially be placed on scholarship in 2022.

In his lone season with the Colonels, Cage had 30 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, broke up three passes and intercepted another in Nicholls’s seven-game spring season.
