Somehow someway Paul Skenes is more than just living up to the hype, he’s surpassing it.
Sunday evening Major League Baseball announced the rosters for the annual MLB All-Star Game and Skenes was named a reserve for the NL Team. Barely a year after leading LSU to a national championship and being selected 1st overall by the Pittsburgh Pirates, Skenes is already thought of as one of the best pitchers in baseball. He’s also the first No. 1 overall pick to make an All-Star game the following season.
