BATON ROUGE – LSU head coach Ed Orgeron welcomed 110 players to campus on Thursday as the sixth-ranked Tigers officially opened training camp in preparation for the 2019 season.
LSU opens the season on Saturday, August 31 against Georgia Southern in Tiger Stadium.
On Thursday, the Tigers spent the day going through a series of meetings, physicals, and getting fitted for equipment as they prepare for the first day of practice, which takes place on Friday.
“The guys are in good spirits and ready to go,” Orgeron told members of the media on Thursday afternoon. “We’re excited about the offense and the guys that we have coming back.
