NEW ORLEANS – LSU's Ed Orgeron was officially presented with the Eddie Robinson National Coach of the Year Award here Saturday evening at the Sazerac House Museum.
The Eddie Robinson Award is presented annually by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) and is sponsored by the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
Orgeron has also been named the national coach of the year by the American Football Coaches Association, Walter Camp and the Associated Press.
Orgeron, who has guided the top-ranked Tigers to a 14-0 overall mark and a berth in the CFP National Championship Game on Monday night in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
