OMAHA, Neb. -- Top-ranked Oregon State rallied from four runs down to beat Cal State Fullerton 6-5 in the College World Series opener Saturday at TD Ameritrade Park.
The Beavers pulled to a 5-5 tie with four runs off four walks, a sac fly and two singles in the sixth, and they scored the go-ahead with a two-out RBI single by Adley Rutcshman in the eighth.
Oregon State will play the LSU-Florida State winner at 6 p.m. Monday, with the loser of tonight's game set to play Cal State Fullerton in a 1 p.m. Monday elimination game.
