BATON ROUGE - The LSU football team made its return to both of the major national polls on Sunday as the Tigers rose to No. 23 in the Amway Coaches Poll, while coming in at No. 25 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.
The Tigers are coming off of an emphatic, 45-10 win over the Southern Miss Golden Eagles in Tiger Stadium Saturday night, extending the team's streak of non-conference home wins to 47.
LSU's next opponent, the Ole Miss Rebels, are ranked 22nd by the coaches and 23rd by the AP. The two sides will meet in a primetime, 8 p.
