BATON ROUGE, La. — With every spin of the coaching carousel, it becomes more evident that LSU will not land Lane Kiffin as its offensive coordinator.
When Ed Orgeron said he had plans to hire “the best coordinator in football,” he could not have envisioned how robust the coaching market would be for his friend. Kiffin was a candidate for the Oregon job, which went to Willie Taggart, and has been linked to both the Houston and USF jobs.
So, with Kiffin presumably out of the mix, Orgeron will have to flip to the next page of that infamous binder that helped win him his dream job to hire an offensive boss.
