BATON ROUGE -- Joe Burrow tied a school record with five touchdown passes, as the sixth-ranked LSU football team scored on its first five possessions to batter Georgia Southern, 55-3, on Saturday night in Tiger Stadium.
LSU (1-0) scored its second-most points in a season opener in the SEC era (since 1933), amassing 473 yards of total offense while holding the Eagles to only 98.
